Match 1

["Freak Like Me" by Halestorm blares across the speakers. The fans begin cheering loudly as the chant "Beat-U" kicks in as the words appear on the titantron. Gabe walks out onto the stage smiling and nodding to the crowd. He begins jogging to the ring as he gives high fives to nearby fans.]

Honey Winters: The following contest is an X-Core tournament first round match, scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Nashville, Tennessee. Weighing in tonight at two hundred and thirty five pounds... GABRIEL GRIFFIN!!!

[Gabe slides under the bottom ropes and circles the ring, acknowledging the crowd. He is about to flex into a pose in the middle of the ring but is suddenly cut off when "Light Up the Sky" by Thousand Foot Krutch suddenly blasts from the speakers. Gabe looks up at the stage intensely as Chris Cable, to the boos of the fans, makes his way onto the stage doing a 360 degree turn followed by an elbow strike to the air.]

Honey Winters: And introducing his opponent, from Melbourne, Australia. Weighing in tonight at two hundred and thirty pounds, he is one half of the MPW tag team champions... C Double... CHRIS CABLE!!!

[Cable reaches the ring and walks right into the face of his opponent, who stands his ground. The two go nose-to-nose before the referee is forced to separate them and back them into their respectful corners.]

Bob Herman: You feel that Tommy? You can cut the tension with a knife!

Thomas Simon: I believe you Bob. What a way to open Unsanctioned! No time for pyrotechnics, this one is gonna get ugly in a hurry!

DING DING DING

[Both Gabe and Cable rush out of their corners and charge at each other, hammering each other with a flurry of vicious forearm shots, much to the delight of the fans. Gabe seems to be getting the better of the exchange as Cable finally starts to ease up, looking groggy on his feet. Gabe finally stops and pumps his fist, getting the fans behind him before turning round and bouncing off the ropes, but as he runs back Cable sees him coming and catches him with a rolling elbow. Gabe is stunned as Cable turns round and bounces off the opposite ropes. This time Gabe sees him coming and lifts him up.]

Thomas Simon: Oh my god, he's going for the Beat...wait...

[Before Gabe can connect with the Beat-U, Cable shifts his weight in midair and dives onto the mat, rolls out of the ring and out of harm's way. Gabe stands in the middle of the ring challenging Cable to get back into the ring.]

Bob Herman: Smart move by Cable, dodging a bullet in the early going...

[Cable is reluctant as he climbs the stairs and stands on the apron. Gabe goes to grab him, but Cable grabs him by the neck and drops to the floor, hotshotting Gabe across the top rope. Gabe turns away clutching his throat, and Cable slides back into the ring and delivers a hard dropkick to the back, sending Gabe to the mat. He then proceeds to stomp on Gabe's neck and upper back until the referee is forced to pull him off. Cable yells at the referee before spotting Gabe on all fours and soccer kicking him in the exposed gut. Gabe rolls onto his back holding his gut in agony as Cable taunts the fans.]

Thomas Simon: The KO Kid now trying to get under the skins of these fans here...

Bob Herman: Who cares? Whether these people like it or not, Cable is one half of the best tag team in the world today! He can do whatever he wants!

[Cable hits Gabe across the back with a standing elbow drop before locking in an armbar. He bends Gabe's arm backwards to strengthen the hold as Gabe bites his lip. Finally he manages to extend his leg and reach the bottom rope, forcing Cable to break up the hold. In retaliation Cable pulls him back to his feet, puts him between his legs, lifts him up and plants him with a standing powerbomb. He rolls him up in a jackknife pin but Gabe kicks out after two. Cable responds by rolling him over and slapping on a grounded side headlock.]

Thomas Simon: Cable is in control of this one now, can the Frat Boy fight his way back into this one?

[The fans try to urge Gabe on as he tries to bring himself back to life, but everytime he tries to get to his feet Cable wrenches the hold further forcing him back down onto the mat. While the referee looks away Cable fish hooks his opponent's mouth before going back to the hold when the ref looks back on the action. Despite this Gabe refuses to give up. Finally he manages to get back to his feet and elbow Cable in the gut to free himself. Gabe runs to the ropes but so does Cable. Gabe bounces off the ropes but fails to realize that Cable is behind him. Gabe turns around and is met with a running clothesline from Cable.]

Bob Herman: Nice move by the MPW tag champ there! Griffin didn't even see him coming!

[Cable immediately pulls Gabe onto his knees and hits him with the Power Surge. Holding his head, Gabe rolls under the bottom rope and out of the ring, trying to shake off the pain. Cable sees this and hypes himself up before charging at him, looking for the Elbow Suicida, but with a huge pop from the fans, Gabe catches him in mid-move with a European uppercut. The fans applaud what they just saw as Gabe collapses from exhaustion on the floor. Both Gabe and Cable are out on the floor as the referee begins counting them both out.]

Thomas Simon: Did you see that!? He just caught him with a variation of the Beat-U!

Bob Herman: I saw but I still can't believe it. Even I have to admit, that was sweet! But I don't think Gabe can follow up here...

Thomas Simon: You're right Bob. He has to roll him back into the ring before any pinfalls can be made...

[It takes some effort, but finally just after the ref's count to nine, Gabe manages to roll the lifeless Cable back into the ring and climb on top of him for a pin.]

One...Two...Th...

Bob Herman: No! He kicks out! That's a fighting champion right there!

[Gabe is slow to retaliate as he pulls Cable back to his feet. He locks him in a front facelock and snaps him over with a wicked snap suplex before rolling into another pin attempt. Again Cable kicks out. Gabe waits for his opponent to get up as he plots his next move, but as he does catches him with an elbow to the gut. Cable springs back to his feet and throws him overhead with a t-bone suplex, but Gabe manages to get back to his feet first, pumping his fists much to the delight of the fans, and slams Cable with a strong spinning spinebuster. Gabe drops on top of him with another pin, but again Cable kicks out. Both men rest in the middle of the ring, slow to get back to their feet as the fans cheer them both on.]

Thomas Simon: What a way to open MPW Unsanctioned here tonight! Who's gonna advance in to the semi-finals of the X-Core tournament!?

[They both make it to their feet at the same time, both looking equally exhausted. Gabe strikes first with a European uppercut, and Cable responds with an elbow strike. Gabe hits him with another uppercut, and Cable hits him with another. They both continue to exchange blows until they stop and go nose-to-nose, their foreheads touching as they stare each other down.]

Bob Herman: This is getting really intense now. This one's to the death Tommy!!

[After the intense staredown Cable grabs his opponent by the back of the neck and clobbers him with a flurry of elbow strikes. He continues the flurry until Gabe finally drops to one knee. Cable takes a deep breath before spinning around with a rolling elbow, but Gabe blocks it and counters with an enzuigiri. Cable groggily stumbles into the corner and Gabe charges, but Cable gets his boot up into the face just in time. As Gabe stumbles to the mat Cable turns around and starts ripping the pad off the turnbuckle.]

Thomas Simon: Hey now, I thought this was a regular match...

[After removing the turnbuckle pad the referee gets in his face and argues with him, but as he does Gabe charges. Cable throws the referee in the way and Gabe squashes him in the exposed turnbuckle. The referee crumbles to the mat clutching his back and shoulder as Gabe is shocked at what just happened.]

Bob Herman: The ref's down Tommy! Anything goes now boy!

[Cable tries to seize the opportunity and spin Gabe around. Gabe instead grabs Cable and calls for the Initiation, but Cable counters and kicks him straight in the groin with a low blow. Gabe collapses onto the mat in pain as Cable lets the boos from the crowd soak in. Cable backs into the corner where he sees Gabe on all fours. He has a crazed look in his eye as he prepares for the KO Kick. Cable darts out of the corner, but before he can connect Gabe counters with a drop toe-hold and locks in the Hangover. Cable taps, but the referee is still down.]

Thomas Simon: He's tapping! This match should be over!

Bob Herman: Maybe if he didn't hit the ref this one would be over...

Thomas Simon: Oh come on Bobby! Put your contact lenses back in! Cable pulled the ref in the way!

Bob Herman: Whatever, this match continues whether you like it or not!

[Realizing that the referee is still down, Gabe releases the hold to check up on him. Behind his back however, Cable slides out of the ring and grabs his lucky elbow pad from under the ring. He slides back into the ring and put the elbow pad on. He waits for Gabe to turn around.]

Thomas Simon: He's got that damn loaded elbow pad!

Bob Herman: That hasn't been proven yet...

[Gabe turns round but ducks under the rolling elbow attempt, bounces off the ropes and hits him with a Thesz press, followed by a flurry of mounted punches. Gabe gets back to his feet and pumps up the fans who are cheering on the action. He waits for Cable to get back to his feet before shoving him into the ropes and lifting him into the air for another Beat-U attempt, but out of nowhere Cable counters and turns it into a facebuster. He follows up by locking in the Hangman's Clutch.]

Bob Herman: What an amazing counter by C Double!

Thomas Simon: And now he locks in the Hangman's Clutch. Remember, the referee's still down in the corner there...

[Gabe struggles to fight out of it, but finally he manages to use the ropes to pull himself out. Cable tries to stay on the offensive but Gabe fends him off with a boot to the gut. Gabe then suddenly bursts at him and spins around him looking for the floatover DDT, but instead Cable spins out of the front facelock and connect with a rolling elbow, with the loaded elbow pad, to the back of the head. Gabe collapses to the mat as Cable tries to bring the referee back to life.]

Thomas Simon: Not this way! That damn elbow pad should be banned!!

[The ref finally regains consciousness as Cable urges him to count. Cable hooks the leg of his opponent as the ref makes a slow count.]

One...Two...Thre...

Thomas Simon: NO!!!!! He kicked out of it!!

Bob Herman: How did he do that!?

Thomas Simon: Gabriel Griffin is proving that he is not to be messed with here in MPW! He wants another shot at the X-Core title, and he will not stay down until he gets it!!

[Cable pulls his own hair out in disbelief and frustration as he begs the referee to make a faster count. Now with a furious look on his face he scoops Gabe back to his feet. Suddenly Gabe locks him in a front facelock looking for the Initiation again, but Cable shoves him back-first into the exposed turnbuckle. As Gable clutches his back and screams in pain, Cable spins him around and connects with the Ripcord Elbow. Before Gabe falls to the mat however, Cable grabs him one more time and hits him with the Cable's Welcome. The fans are disheartened as Cable hooks his opponent's leg and demands the referee to make the count.]

One...Two...Three!!!!!

DING DING DING

Bob Herman: What a match!!

Thomas Simon: What a way to open Unsanctioned!!

Honey Winters: Here is your winner, and advancing in the X-Core tournament... CHRIS CABLE!!!!!

[Cable storms back to his feet and soaks in the boos from the fans. As the referee tries to check on the condition of Gabe, Cable begins stomping him once again. The referee begs him to stop, and finally he does, now with a proud smirk on his face.]

Thomas Simon: Gabe Griffin put up one hell of a fight here tonight, but in the end Chris Cable got the better of him. Now Cable will face either Nathan James or Aaron Cruz in the X-Core tournament semi-finals.

Bob Herman: Hopefully this won't be the last time we see these two in action...

[Backstage we see Laura Tavares, in her business dress and wearing a pair of glasses, strutting down a corridor, ignoring the crew working anonymously around her. She then notices something off camera and rolls her eyes. She walks over to the catering bar, where Ms. Biguns is seen facing away from the camera stuffing her face as usual. Laura folds her arms before asserting her authority.]

Laura Tavares: Ahem...

[Biguns suddenly freezes like a deer caught in the lights. She drops all the food she's carrying and hesitantly turns around to face Laura. Her lips were completely covered with cream and you can clearly see a candy bar sticking out of her exposed cleavage. Laura is not amused.]

Laura Tavares: Just what exactly do you think you're doing?

[There is a long pause as Biguns struggles to answer.]

Ms. Biguns: I'm on a break...

[Laura looks at her in disgust before grabbing the candy bar with her fingers and pulling it out of her cleavage before dropping it onto the floor.]

Laura Tavares: You know jumbo Jazzy...you always seem to be on a break every time I see you. And on top of that, since hiring you our catering costs seem to have sky-rocketed. Apparently toilet duty hasn't done anything to you improve productivity, or to put it in a way that a dumbo like you can understand, you are terrible...

[Laura is suddenly interrupted when Biguns lets out a loud burp. She covers her mouth shamefully as Laura wipes the air from her face. She grinds her teeth, clearly annoyed.]

Laura Tavares: I'm reducing your pay.

[Biguns looks down in shame. Laura is about to leave, but suddenly Biguns finally speaks up.]

Ms. Biguns: No...

[Laura stops. She looks astonished as she turns back to the janitor.]

Laura Tavares: Excuse me?

[Biguns glares at Laura.]

Ms. Biguns: No. You know what? That's it. I can't take this anymore. I was gonna save this until after the show but I've been offered a job somewhere else. A cushy job, much better than this crap! I don't need this place anymore, and I certainly don't need you! I'm quitting this dump. Screw you, I'm going home...

Laura Tavares: Wait! You can't quit!

[Biguns smirks to herself.]

Ms. Biguns: Oh really? And why is that?

Laura Tavares: I'm firing your fat ass. Consider yourself out of here!

[Biguns now looks upset.]

Ms. Biguns: What!? You can't fire me!!

[Laura smirks.]

Laura Tavares: I just did. Now get out! Oh, and don't get yourself stuck in the door again...

[Laura chuckles to herself as Biguns looks like she's about to cry. Laura turns away and is about to leave but suddenly Biguns snaps. She grabs Laura by the hair and throws her onto the catering table. She is covered with the food. Biguns then jumps on top of her, and the table breaks under all her weight. We can hear Laura coughing after being crushed under all her weight. Biguns grabs a custard pie and stuffs it into Laura's face as we can see Laura kicking her legs desperately. Biguns is screaming in her face as they continue to brawl and roll around in the mess until finally security arrives. It takes four men to finally pull Biguns back to her feet and restrain her. Obviously it took a lot out of Biguns as she gasps for air like an obese woman who just ran a marathon.]

Ms. Biguns: THIS ISN'T OVER! I'LL BE BACK! AND WHEN I DO YOU'LL BE SORRY! YOU'LL ALL BE SORRY!!!

[As security drags her out of the building, Laura finally climbs back to her feet, completely covered in food. She wipes the custard from her face before screaming in frustration.]

Laura Tavares: GET THAT FAT PIG OUT OF HERE! I DON'T WANT TO SEE THAT BLIMP HERE AGAIN!!!

[The scene fades out as a member of security wraps a coat around her.]

But Roxi kicks Bliss hard in the jaw and then grabs her in a tight headlock, wrenching her arms and locking in the headlock exceptionally tight, as Bliss moves back to the turnbuckle and grabs both the ropes, pulling herself up and over the ropes and onto the apron, as the hold is released.

Bliss pushes out of it and on the rebound hits an arm drag, then as Roxi gets to her feet she ducks a right hand and hits her with a couple of big right hands of her own, as she irish whips Roxi to the ropes.

*Roxi comes back with a rolling sunset flip, but Bliss stands her ground, remaining standing as she jumps and hits a big senton butt-first, right onto Roxi's chest. She gets another cover but Roxi slides out at the count of 1, and Bliss kicks her in the gut again, irish whipping her to the turnbuckle. She charges, looking for a turnbuckle spear, but when Roxi dodges she stops herself from plummeting straight into the steel ring post, only for Roxi to dropkick her in the rear and send her shoulder first into the ring post.

*Roxi pulls Bliss out and then pulls her into a suplex position, falling back and hitting a big snap suplex as she goes for another pin, only for another 1 count. Roxi waits for Bliss to get back to her feet again as she locks in a sleeper headlock in a seated position, and wrenches it hard as Bliss gets back to a standing position.

Thomas Simon: Big back suplex from Bliss into a bridge! She could have her here! 1....2..NO! Kickout by Roxi at a quick two count!

Bob Herman: It's gonna take a lot more than that to win this one.

*Bliss backs Roxi up to the turnbuckle with a couple of strikes and then hauls her onto the second turnbuckle, punching her a couple of times in the jaw as she runs to the opposite side of the ring, then charges towards the turnbuckle, only for Roxi to stick a foot out and catch her in the jaw, then as Bliss spins around, Roxi leaps off and hits a big diving bulldog. Thomas Simon: What a shot from Roxi!!! Dropkick back first into the cage!

Bob Herman: These two are leaving nothing back!

*Roxi pulls Bliss back to her feet as she attempts another dropkick, but Bliss blocks it and as Roxi falls to the mat and rolls back, Bliss climbs to the top rope, and looks to leap off, only for Roxi to chop Bliss's leg as she goes groin first into the top turnbuckle. Roxi climbs to the top turnbuckle and tries to hit an avalanche frankensteiner, but Bliss catches her on the top turnbuckle and pulls her into a powerbomb position, leaping off and pushing Roxi back face first into the top turnbuckle.

*Bliss pulls Roxi to her feet and kicks her hard in the gut, then kicks her hard in the jaw and as Roxi is sent straight back to a standing position, Bliss leaps up and hits a big hurricanrana, hooking Roxi's legs with a bridge as she pins her.

*Bliss pulls Roxi back up to a sitting position and locks in another sleeper hold, pulling down hard as Roxi tries to get back to a standing position and break the hold. Bliss wrenches down hard and when both are on their feet, Bliss leans back and executes a picture perfect sleeper suplex, driving Roxi's head down hard into the mat as Roxi lies there limp on the mat and Bliss crawls over for the cover.

1.................2.................NO!! Kickout at two from Roxi again!

*Bliss looks at the ref with annoyance as she puts up three fingers in a three count emphasis, and then pulls Roxi to her feet, twisting her into a reverse DDT position as she yells to the fans and they boo her. Bliss looks to fall down for a reverse DDT, but Roxi spins out and hits a headscissors that catapults Bliss into the ropes, and as she recovers and runs back towards Roxi, Roxi ducks and then flies onto the second turnbuckle, leaping back and hitting a big lionsault onto a standing Bliss.

*Roxi waits for Bliss to get to her feet again, and then runs to the ropes, charging and looking for a flying clothesline. But Bliss rather skillfully catches her in mid-air and slams her down, grabbing her leg and slamming a hard knee drop onto it before she twists it and locks in a painful leg lock, bending Roxi's leg in a really awkward way.

*Roxi tries desperately to fight out of it, clawing to get to the ropes, and the referee is asking Roxi if she wants to tap out, and Roxi ferociously shakes her head as she scrambles to the rope.

Thomas Simon: Bliss is really putting on the pain here!!! She's twisting that leg really badly!!

Bob Herman: Roxi's gonna be feeling this match after tonight!

Thomas Simon: They're putting it all on the line for that Sin City championship!!

Finally, she is able to make it to the ropes as she pulls herself off of Bliss and she tries to get to a standing position, using the ropes for leverage, but Bliss comes right back at her with a big kick to Roxi's leg.

*Roxi clutches her leg in pain as Bliss continues to stomp it, looking arrogantly out to the fans as they boo her and she pulls Roxi towards the ropes, wrapping her leg around the bottom rope as she applies more pressure, and she stomps on it once again. She pulls Roxi back to her feet eventually, and then hits a rolling elbow to the side of her head, grabbing her and pulling her into a DDT position as she stands there groggily, and as she looks around for a moment, she slams Roxi's head down in a massive DDT.

1...............2...............NO! Roxi kicks out again at a count of 2!!

*Bliss looks frustrated at the referee as she starts to climb the top turnbuckle, signalling for something big as Roxi gets to her feet and Bliss leaps off, looking for a missile dropkick.

Thomas Simon: Bliss looking for a missile dropkick! NO! Roxi dodges!!! And here comes the Sin City champion!!

Bob Herman: You may not be saying that after tonight!!

Thomas Simon: Well Roxi's getting back some momentum here, so i might!! Roxi hits a massive roundhouse with her left leg, then a big flying clothesline!!! Now another flying clothesline!! Kick to the gut....facebuster!!! Sit-out facebuster from Roxi!! She is on a roll here!!

*Roxi limps over to the turnbuckle and waits for Bliss to get to her feet, charging at her as she attempts a running big boot to the side of the head. But Bliss counters, and lifts her into a samoan drop position, only for Roxi to roll out as she rolls Bliss up.

Thomas Simon: Cover!!! 1...........2............NO! Kickout by Bliss! And now she gets back to her feet....superkick from Roxi!!! Bliss's head rocked back from the impact of that kick!! And now she grabs Bliss's head...and she throws it against the cage!!! Bliss goes face-first into the side of the cage! And Roxi finishes with a swinging neckbreaker!

*Both ladies are down, but Roxi slowly gets to her feet as she holds her leg. She sees the cage door and starts to crawl towards it, as the referee opens it for her. However, Bliss is able to make it to her feet and she grabs Roxi's leg as she drags her towards the centre of the ring, pulling her back to her feet as Roxi slams a hard into Bliss's head, knocking her backwards, but as Roxi charges, Bliss catches her and pulls her into a sidewalk slam. Bliss goes for another cover, but only achieves another close 2 count. She looks desperately frustrated at the referee, pulling Roxi back to her feet as she pulls her into a DDT position and signals for the Judgement Daye.

Thomas Simon: Here we go!! Judgement Daye coming!!!!

Bob Herman: This is it!!!

Thomas Simon: She flips, NO! Roxi reverses!! And now....REALITY BITES!!!! THAT'S GOTTA BE IT!!! 1................2.................NO!!! Bliss kicked out!!! How the hell!!

Bob Herman: Bliss will do whatever it takes to get her title back!

*Roxi is completely filled with disbelief as she stares at the referee, then waits for Bliss to get to her feet as she signals for another Reality Bites.

Thomas Simon: Roxi should be getting out of the cage!!! What's she doing!

Bob Herman: She's trying to prove a point here Tommy! She wants to knock Bliss out!!!

Thomas Simon: Reality Bites times!!! Here it comes!!

*Suddenly, the lights cut out and everything goes black as the fans immediately light up in shock as they try to figure out what's happening.

Thomas Simon: HEY!!!! THE LIGHTS ARE OUT!!! WE KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS!!!

Bob Herman: Oh Yes!!!!!

Thomas Simon: The Age of Arrogance!!!! The Age of Arrogance are here!!!

*Drake Hunter, Chris Cable, Andre Dixon and Kuk Killswitch appear outside the cage, staring into the cage with deadset, determined, cold eyes as Drake smirks slightly and motions for Cable to open the cage door. Roxi stands waiting for Drake to enter the cage, but Drake just hops onto the apron and stares at Roxi, trying to distract her while Bliss makes it to her feet.

Thomas Simon: Roxi!!! Look out!!

*Roxi turns around and Bliss attempts to his her with a massive running big boot, but Roxi ducks, and then dropkicks Bliss straight into Drake.

Thomas Simon: What a move by Roxi!!! Drake is sent sprawling straight off the apron into the barricade, and as Bliss turns around, Roxi leaps off the second rope.

Thomas Simon: REALITY BITES!!!! REALITY BITES!!!

1.........................2........................3!!!!

Honey Winters: Here is your winner and STTTIILLLL SIIN CITTYY CHAMMPIONNN!!! ROOOOOXXIII JOHHHNNSOOONN!!!!

[Roxi celebrates her victory as the ref raises her hand and hands her the Sin City Title. Bliss sits up and looks astonished at the outcome. Roxi exits through the cage doorSuddenly, the lights in the arena all cut out, leaving the entire place in totally darkness. Suddenly, a dim, solitary, purple spotlight cuts on and roams around the crowd for a bit before settling on Bliss. She holds up a hand to shield her eyes and looks around worriedly. Another spotlight, this one red, come on and roams around as well, before settling on the top corner of the cage, the crowd roars in approval as they see where Khaotek sits casually, twirling something in his hand.]

[Bliss takes a few steps back, staring up at the dark figure, before a loud crashing noise is heard. The lights cut on and show the AoA have run into a barricade of chairs that have somehow ended up in the aisle, which tripped them up in the dark as they tried to run to Bliss’ aid.]

[Khaotek glances down at them nonchalantly, before tossing the item in his hand down towards Bliss. All the lights suddenly cut out again, and within seconds, they come back on, Khaotek, along with all of the chairs have disappeared, leaving a very confused AoA in the aisleway. The camera zooms in on Bliss, who is staring at the item Khaotek threw.]

Thomas Simon: It is a chess piece; the white queen.
